Upon arrival, lunch at local restaurant in the town of Windsor followed by a visit to Windsor Castle, which was built by William the Conqueror in the 11th century on a 13-acre site. The splendid interiors of the State Apartments contain paintings by famous artists, fine porcelain collections, various art objects, elegant furnishings and antique armor. In the afternoon, we travel to Central London for a photo stop in front of Buckingham Palace. Later, free time for dinner on your own and souvenir shopping. This morning our panoramic city tour includes Big Ben Clock Tower, the Parliament building, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, 10 Downing Street and the British Museum. (Note: No compensation will be given if the Museum is closed.). After city tour, we travel to Paris by Eurostar train (journey time: about 2 ½ hours). Paris is a uniquely magical city renowned for the wealth of its cultural and architectural treasures, magnificent boulevards and great museums. This morning, we’ll visit the fabulous Louvre Museum with a licensed local guide (entrance fee included). One of the greatest museums in the world, the Louvre is world famous for the scope and richness of its collections. During the visit, we’ll see some of the best-known art masterpieces in the world, such as Da Vinci's "Mona Lisa", the Greek statues of Venus de Milo and Victory of Samothrace. This morning we visit Notre Dame Cathedral, a marvelous example of Gothic architecture and indelibly associated with Victor Hugo’s literary masterpiece, “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”. We then say goodbye to Paris and travel to Luxembourg. Often referred to as “a little Switzerland", it is one of the richest and prettiest countries in Europe and also one of the smallest in size. This morning, we travel to the beautiful ancient city of Cologne, now also well-known for its industrial prowess. Upon arrival, we visit Cologne Cathedral, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Taking over 6 centuries to complete, it is famous for its soaring Gothic twin towers and stained glass windows. This afternoon, a chance to take an unforgettable, once-in-a-life time scenic cruise (optional) on the legendary Rhine River. This morning, we travel to Brussels, the cosmopolitan capital of Belgium, and where the headquarters of European Union and NATO are located. On the way, we make a quick photo stop at the Atomium. A fantastic structure built for the 1958 World Expo, it is made of 9 gigantic steel spheres joined by metal tubes. Our Brussels sightseeing includes Grand Place, a beautiful square with well-preserved, renaissance-style guild houses and the flamboyant Gothic city hall; then a photo stop at the playful Manneken Pis Statue, one of the most popular sights in Brussels. A scenic drive takes us to Amsterdam, the capital of The Kingdom of the Netherlands. We first visit Zanse Schans, also known as Windmill Village. With its traditional wooden houses, windmills and canals, this colorful open-air museum takes us back to the Holland of 16C and 17C. We attend a live demonstration to see how the famous Dutch wooden shoes are made and then go for a tasting of delicious, locally made cheese. After lunch, an included canal cruise provides an in-depth introduction to the history and architecture of this fascinating city. Amsterdam is one of the most important diamond processing centers in the world; we’ll take the opportunity to visit a well-known diamond factory. Established in 1840, this master diamond cutter re-cut a crown diamond for Queen Victoria and also made into the Guinness World Record Book.
